Hello!
Why is there a blank space in the dropdown list of templates?
Another information is that it is different for "demote", which does not have "blank" space, but "shrinkwrap", "create" and possibly other function have a blank space.
Is this made on purpose or a bug?
We are using Inventor 2020.4.3.
Examples (demote and shrinkwrap):

Hi Rene,
I believe this is a known issue when the Standard templates are absent. I could be wrong. On 2022, the command has been replaced by Simplify. The dialog no longer exists.
Many thanks!
Check your templates folder and see if any other files are there, with other formats, besides the two shown.
I am guessing it might be a different format/extension file (such as a "lockfile.lck" from Vault) that is not able to be read by Inventor, and maybe that caused it to skip a line (harmless though, as it looks).

I was going to say the same as Johnson.
For tasks like this, I believe Inventor likes to use 'standard.ipt' and if you've renamed your template files then it can't find Standard.
You are right! I renamed one of the templates into "Standard.ipt" and there was no blank space anymore. Thanks for the answer and informations!
It is strange, that "demote" works differently (no blank space), but OK.
There are. Only templates for different environments and Inventor file "lockfile.lck". I think it reads ".ipt" extensions only, otherwise all would be shown. It is harmless though, if blank space is selected, Inventor just pop-up a message to select a template.
True. You are both right with Johnson.
