After a few months working on a project, there are many files in the folder that are not needed or used anymore. Is there a kind of (autocad) purge thing to get rid of all unescecarry files?
Are you using Vault or are you using Projects?
You could Save As>Save Copy as Pack and Go from top assembly (or drawing of top level assembly) into a new folder.
That will copy only the actual project into the folder (Uncheck Template, Libraries or whatever unnecessary stuff in the P&G.) You might then rename the old folder as Archive, just in case, rather than deleting.
We don't use Vault, Each project has it's own project file/folder
If i just P&G the top drawing, I will miss all the other drawings, right?
No, you won't. That's if you don't forget to include the drawings (if they have been created already) as well.
The topic on P&G had been covered more than once on this forum. Please search for it.
Cheers,
Igor.
