AVI Rendering Crash - URGENT !!

Hello.  We are really in trouble over the AVI video crash issue in Inventor 2018.  It did not happen in 2016 or 2017 and we are at standstill without the ability to produce decent short videos.  The .wmv output is appalling and and unusable for client purposes so without the AVI rendering we will have to stop work until a solution is found.  Please, if anyone has any update on this please share.  We have tried reducing the video time and imported the XVID codec but none of this works.  Inventor just crashes as soon as you hit the render button.
