I am working with this assembly and i want to be able to quickly calculate the yellow contact area. I am working with 10 different model states and the area will be different for each one so i would like to make this an automatic process. Any suggestions?
Depending on what information you are able to capture in parameters, you could just create one or more user parameters to calculate it mathematically.
See snip below for the formula of the circular segment (taken from https://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/circle-sector-segment.html).
Could just take the full circle area and subtract that to get remaining area as a parameter.
You can try to parametric design with referenced and push the parameters with ilogic from main assembly. I' just tried on part to explain parameter things. You can use this part for maths.
