Autodesk Inventor Professional certificate Exam

I appeared for Inventor Professional Exam in Dec through Certiport earlier and the exam pattern is problem solving.

Now I am appearing through Pearson Vue and in FAQs the pattern is said to be Multiple choice questions, drag and drop without access to the software. I want to confirm if that is true. If anyone appeared for the exam please help me solve the ambiguity and the earliest as my exam is scheduled in 3 days from now.

Hi Sreshta, I am unsure of the current exam situation, but when I did my certification there were two.

Certified user - multiple choice with no access to software

Certified professional - done entirely in the software

I will try and find out if this is still the case.

Hello James,

Thank you for the swift reply. The scenario mentioned by you is the same when I last took the test.

But when I was going through the FAQs the matter present there confused me.

The pattern must be same as that mentioned by you. As you have taken the professional examination your suggestions if any would be of great help!!! I am also appearing for the same.

I've reached out to the certification team for clarification.

Here are a few tips for the professional exam which I took about a year ago:

Hi Sreshta, I received this reply.

We still have the Autodesk Certified User certifications on the Certiport platform.  They are product based exams and the exam format has not changed.  Exams on Certiport are LWTA (Live within the App).  The candidate will need to use the software application to answer the questions on the exam.  The exam objectives and refresh cycle for the ACU Inventor exam can be found on the Certiport website.

We have retired the ACP (Autodesk Certified Professional) exams from the Certiport platform as of Dec 31, 2022.  The ACP exams have been refreshed and updated with new exam objective domains and we have added new Autodesk certification tiers.

You can find all of the information on the Autodesk Learning and Certification Hub to include skill builder courses (to use as resources for candidates), and certification prep materials aligned to our new exam objectives.

The exams on Pearson Vue are new role and skill based exams with a selected response exam format and do not require the software to answer the test questions.  For more information on our exams, visit our FAQ page on the Autodesk Learning and Certification Hub to gain more insights before you test.

Let me know if you need further information.

Hello James,

The reply seems to be clear, and the exam pattern is changed. Exam might be without software and objective type.

Thank you.

Hello, just to make sure I understand you...If I take the Autodesk Certified User Exam on the Certiport Platform, it will be with the Software and not Multiple choice. Correct? Because, where I am at, they only provide Certiport.

You would have to check with Certiport what type of exam they offer. The current Autodesk exam is multiple choice.
