Autodesk Inventor 2024 taking old file reference for suppress parts.

I have an assembly(let's say "A") created using Skeleton (one part with multiple solid bodies in it, Assembly created using derived parts) modeling.

whenever I copy the design of this assembly(A), the suppressed parts take old file references only.

then I have to change the reference of suppressed parts manually every time for all suppressed parts of Assembly (B) and it is too hectic for the user.

Then if I wanted to copy the design of Assembly B to Assembly C I could not possibly due to Assembly B having old references in it, if I did not change the reference manually.

Please have a look into this issue.

Thanks & Regards

Hi! I would like to double-check the behaviors. When you used Design Assistant to replicate the files, are these parts suppressed? If yes, I don't believe there is a way to change the suppressed reference files within the assembly. You will need to use Replace Components workflow.

Many thanks!

Hi, I am using Autodesk Vault Profesional 2024 for copy design.

It is working fine with 2022 and older versions.

I am facing this issue after upgrading to the 2024 version.

Hi! Were the files migrated to 2024 already? If yes, I suggest you contact Autodesk Product Support and report it as a case.

Many thanks!
