In different drawings Attach balloon from list window has different settings. Where is the configuration menu of this window?

As far as i know there's no way to change which columns get displayed.

I made an ideastation post about this 2 years ago, but never got enough votes apparently...

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideastation/attach-balloon-from-list-column-chooser/idi-p/393...

Hope it will get some more attention now.

I saw a post in ideastation and voted for him.

But why do I figure in another window Attach balloon from list has a different look?

Oh, never noticed that in particular...
What did you select to get both those windows?
Is there any difference in where it might be getting the data from?

---
Hmm... just checked in IV2016 and it seems the "attach balloon from list" format is the same as my part list/BOM...
Maybe they've already changed some things...
Going to try some things, but i'm guessing it's pulling the columns from the parts list.

---

As i suspected, it's now copying the chosen columns from the parts list.

That kinda makes my idea on the ideastation obsolete (at least for me).

Not sure when they've changed the behavior though, can't remember it being documented in the "what's new".

Also found out when you get the list like in your first image.
This seems to be the default when there is no part list present on the sheet where the balloons are.

Yes, you're absolutely right. Now I get it. This is not a documented change is very interesting and necessary.

I added a comment to my idea, since the change is nice but doesn't fully complete my wish.
We often put our parts list on a 2nd sheet, so that leaves the "attach from list" dialog to only show the default.
Would be really nice if you could choose the default columns as well...
