Assembly import/export - BIM Content

Can anyone please help with my workflow?

A client sends me his Revit file which I can open in Inventor. (Referenced not converted) I do my thing and want to send it back to him as an IFC file for review. It works just fine but I don't want to include his original file - just the work that I have done.

Any suggestions as to how I can exclude the reference file when I export to BIM content?

Hi Stuart.

I believe you can simply hide the reference geometry (make it invisible) before exporting. Then it will be excluded.

Thanks very much. That worked. I made a new LevelofDetail to turn off the visibility and then exported. Job done!
