assembly constraints not working

Hi,

I can't seem to get an extremely simple task completed in the assembly function. I align some perpendicular holes first as shown below,

That completes with no problems. the next part is apparently to difficult for Autodesk. as shown below I then try to align the two rods together. no matter what I do Autodesk is to inept to figure it out. I've confirmed that the thru holes are the same size and perfectly centered on both tubes.

Any tips on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

I just want the lines to be perpendicular, is that beyond Autodesk for such a simple task?

I have found that if I add a small offset it works, the smallest it will allow me to go is .001" but won't go lower or accept 0

Can you share your assembly (and ipt's) ? Something has to be off.

Since offset works, one of the cross hole is not at center of the pipe.

Measure and show all digits.

Attach your assembly here and end all doubt.

I am certain there is a logical solution.

Hi! Either there are pre-existing failed constraints or there is lack of a grounded part. Please  try fixing up existing failed constraints and ground a logical part.

Many thanks!
