Applying a Gradient color

Hi

Is it possible to apply a Gradient Color to a section on a part?

The attached image example shows a light blue at the start and ends with a darker blue

As this thread suggests, adjusting the lighting.

Or, another thought is to create a decal with the gradient in it and apply that in the part model.

You can make a gradient color in the appearance editor.

The gradient only works under the "realistic" visual style though.

Some work would need to be done to apply it to a specified section, using "split" comes to mind and then you'd have to scale the appearance properly.
