Anyone know what happened to inspect>loop in 2018

Inspect > Loop has gone missing in 2018.

I don't have access to IV2018 yet, but from the what's new it states that all the measure commands are now rolled into one.

In one of the screenshots on the help page i can see a value for "Total loop length", is that what you're looking for?

Yeah I read that too, but it doesn't work unless I'm doing it wrong.

Video shows 2017 loop and then 2018 measure. Doesn't work.

A similar thing can be achieved with 'region properties' but it's not the same.

Hmm... well, like i said i don't have access yet so i can't try myself....

In the help is states somewhere that you have to select the entire region.
What happens if you select multiple lines?
Can you window select during the new measure command?
Anything in the menu when you right-click with measure active?
I noticed there is a small downward triangle next to your selection where it says (1 curve), does that only collapse the panel or does it give options?

heh... this would be so much easier if i could try myself...

You can't select multiple lines using ctrl or shift and neither can you drag a box around anything. This wouldn't work with a busy display.

Can't select loops on 3D geometry either.

Only way I can get it to work is to use the quickpick to get select a loop. Bit of step backwards really.

This is the new way to measure a loop, previous way was better as you could see instantly if it was a loop just by hovering which was useful for detecting open loops.
