anyone ever draw up a flame?

im looking to draw a flame, as in a candle flame im not quite sure on how to go about and just looking for input or if someone has already done something like it

Andrew,

I can't imagine it would be too difficult to model a flame using the sweep functionality.

Doesn't sound like you are looking for anything too complicated.  Not looking for fire, right?

I see JDMather already posted the link to the friday pictures topic, so i just want to add that the flame i posted there is in 2016 format.

My thoughts on making it that way was that a flame is more or less 3 parts; the dark base, the flame and an outer glow/haze.
It was done back in 2009, so the shape isn't too "natural".
If i had to make a new flame i'd probably mess around with the freeform tools...

In these cases, if there are no particular needs,  i often  use also opacity maps for the material.

no, im not looking for anything in particular. just ideas and thoughts on how to make them in inventor and look like a flame, not like a bullet shape
