animate

I'm trying to figure out how to animate showing the material in the hoses. Also how to move my model in and out for a video clip. New to the situation.

Yes. But the thing is im tring to do a walk through. Perhaps zooming in and out and  I think im going the wrong way about this.  I also tried putting it in presentation but, it wouldn't import the model because I think its an .ipt and not an .iam.

So that image is just a screenshot of a single ipt part file?

Was this just an imported step file or something and you don't even have this modeled in Inventor.

Can you post the actual Inventor files you have here?

If its just a single Inventor modeled part we will need to show you how to use "Make Components" to push out each individual solid into its own part file to create an assembly..

Lets start by getting you a usable model to start animating.. THEN we can work on walking you through the animations. Animations will be next weeks lessons 😉

You need to learn to "walk" before you try to "run" with a full animation walk through. (pun intended)

Inventor is a professional software and requires a professional effort into learning it. 

Please post your ipt/iam files of what you have. 

And please try to provide as many details as possible in the future to avoid excessive back and forth guesses/assumptions,etc..

The principles in the screencast I posted still apply 100% even if you just want to leave it as a single ipt file..

Just animate another extrusion inside the tube extrusions..

and then start watching videos like..

What specifically is happening?

When you check the "Link to View" it updates the active view to match the camera properties and hides the camera graphics
