Add unique text to elements of a rectangular pattern.

I wish to create a pattern of nameplates and be able to pit unique text on each without having to create a sketch for each. Parameters seems to be indicated but I can't figure it out.  (I'm a self-taught relatively new user.)  I've watched this quick tip a number of times but apparently I'm missing something.

I had something similar with engraving a ruler on a part before. Short answer is there isn't a simple way to have a "pattern" of different text. It is possible to use iLogic scripting to auto generate textboxes. Below is a link to a thread where I shared my ruler Inventor file with the iLogic script in it. That script would need to edited to suit your needs for the pattern and what text it would add.
