ACME Screw Threads xls file

Need to put ACME Threads on a parts.  Searched here and found the attached ACME Threads.xls file.  I copy/pasted this into my Threads.xls.  Now when I try to use it, I get an error "Error in ACME thread family: Unit string in cell A1 is incorrect".  I have tried editing the cell, but I cant get this to work.

It appears that this spreadsheet was made for an older version of Inventor.  Could someone corrrect this so it will work with Inventor 2011.

Thanks

Good grief...this thread (pun intended) dates back to 2011, and here Autodesk still hasn't included ACME threads in Inventor 2019.

Hi Guys,

I did a quick search on Inventor Ideas forum (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/idb-p/v1232). I did not see any ACME Screw related idea. Have you submitted the idea?

Many thanks!

@Anonymous

For metric you have to change it based on metric data..

Basically coping an Excel tab to another workbook.

I downloaded the table from thread 4 above, and it worked great! That version only went up to 5". Do you have the updated table that includes 6" to 8" available? I also just discovered coolorange thread modeler to work with this and it really provides an excellent model!

I just updated the "thread 4".  The excel file attached there now includes sizes up to 8.5" diameter.

Kirk:

I don't see the updated file; just your original.

Thanks, Matt

Matt,

I just double-checked it.  The attached file in thread #4 has the sizes up to 8 1/2in ACME Threads.

Thanks,

Kirk

Thanks, Kirk; I just found it, and apparently something in my browser was being cranky preventing me from finding it earlier.

I appreciate you taking the time to build this file.

Cheers, Matt
