3D Sketch Split Sketch disappearing when extrusion suppressed

I have a model of a cylinder I am creating to turn it into (4) separate parts so that way I can print them and then assemble them with guides. I have these oval parts in the 3d sketches that have been projected to the surface, and then I split them all the way through and in some instances I used "thicken" to narrow them, or not at all for where i needed them.

You can see that the parts are there and separate; and it looks good; however, when I suppress the extrusion i get the following:

You see where the yellow parts are cut in half and the extrusions that should be on the other half of that are not existing. What am I missing; or should I be using something other than "split" and thicken?

Thanks

Hi

  1. Create a sketch of one island
  2. (Optional) Project onto surface
  3. Split the face
  4. Thicken (result new solid)
  5. Rectangular pattern (solid mode, sum result)
  6. 90 deg circular pattern (solid mode, new solid result)
  7. Split the cylinder to 90 deg
  8. Two logical (boolean) operations - add one solid to the cylinder and cut the other.
  9. (Optional) Circular solid pattern (new solids mode).

I do appreciate your response; however, I am having trouble deciphering. I am running Inventory Pro 2026; however, some of those features I am not seeing. Likewise, I am watching a video: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/wrap-2d-sketch-around-cylinder-and-extrude-wrap/td-p/6..., but I cannot get it to create the new workplane as shown. If you are able to provide a little bit more in the instructions above, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Of course, I'll help you.
Just tell me exactly where you stopped in the instructions.

And don't forget to attach a file with the current results.
