28" screen and broken CAD

Hi guys,

Does any of you have large screen (28") and at the same time problem with your ADSK CAD like Inventor or ACAD? Our client does. And I can't find any settings that would fix that, ADSK Case told us that there is also none... But... I kind of dont think that our client is like the only one with large screen and using CAD at the same time. That doesn't sound possible.

I attached few images of broken CAD (or barely usable with screen large like this) and on the other hand OK images of other Win applications.

Any ideas anyone?

Thx

OS?   Graphics card model and driver version?

Are you up to date on INventor 2015?  Sp2 with Update 2?

I use a HP30z 30" at work and don't have any problems. I think you might have a problem when you get into hi-res monitors. A few problems have cropped up with 3000dpi monitors. Some of the windows within Inventor are Pixel driven and not scaled as a percentage of the primary window size. This causes some of the windows to become rather small with hi-res monitors.

Hi, thx for info, DPI really could be the case here. Could you post here a screnshot of your CAD (Inventor?) so I could see how it looks on your big screen?

Thank you very much

I would agree with the DPI issue. Talking with with one of our in house app developers last week and they had a similar issue as you describe with some other non CAD applications and the 4K monitors they were using.

What happens when the display settings are increased? If you go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display there should eb an option to change diplay settings from "Smaller" to "Larger"
