2026 Content Center Files - There's Two Versions of the Metric Mold Content Library?

Hi,

I'm in the middle of our migration to the 2026 versions of PDMC software. I was updating our content center library files to the latest available and ran into a rather goofy issue when installing the remote libraries on our Vault server...

On the downloads page (manage.autodesk.com/products/vltm) there are two vastly different versions of the Mold Design Metric remote content libraries?

One is named "Inventor Mold Design Remote Content Library - Metric Standard 2026" and is roughly 1GB in size.

which extracts to:

The other one is named "Inventor Remote Content Library - MoldMetricSub Standard 2026" and is roughly 34MB in size.

So as illustrated, the problem is both of these CC libraries extract out files with exactly the same name and you can only add/restore one or the other.

@autodesk Why is there two CC libraries with the same name? Which one is the correct version?

Hi,
The Inventor Remote Content Library - MoldMetricSub Standard 2026 is a specific download for Autodesk Inventor Professional 2026 that provides a smaller, subset of metric standard parts for mold design, focusing on components like sliders, lifters, ejectors, and other mold design elements. It is a "remote" library, meaning it provides files that can be placed from a remote server rather than being installed locally. The "Sub Standard" designation distinguishes it from a larger, more comprehensive "Metric Standard" remote library for the same Inventor 2026 version.

So you have to choose if you will install the full version or subset version.

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you for the explanation. Full version it is. 🙂
