When I click Save button I get this kind of 3d corrupted graphics, it stays visibile when I rotate, disappears after a certain zoom extent.

Fortunately if I close and reopen it disappears. Never happened before 2020.1

Using quality settings, nVidia Quadro K2000, Win7 x64

Hi! The behavior does not sound right. Are you able to reproduce it consistently? If yes, please share the files with me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

From what I can tell, you need a better graphics card. The one you listed is only a 2 GB card.

I wouldn't consider anything less than 4 GB if you're using anything more than Inventor LT and I'd say go with no less than an 8 GB card if you're gonna be doing any decent sized assemblies.

2GB just isn't going to cut it these days....and you're on Win 7 to boot.

I will send you this example, even more blatant than first posted

Maybe you are right, but it happens even in medium-low complexity assemblies (~50 components), plus I don't have any performance issues even on one order of magnitude bigger assemblies.

Seems to me more like a driver issue.

Have you updated to the latest driver from the card manufacturers site? (Not Autodesks certified driver list)

Quite often ensuring you have the latest driver solves any graphics related issues.. Updating the graphics driver is the first thing I do before installing any new Autodesk software..

Hi Marco,

Your case is fairly similar to the following thread. I don't think you need to send me the files. It has been reported as It has been reported as INVGEN-30273. The fix is targeting 2020.2 update. The following thread also discuss a few workarounds for the time being.

Hi,

one of our customers also reports the same graphic artifacts with 2020.1. His system is i7-8700, 48GB Ram, P4000. He says that ghost graphics appear after saving and then rotating the model.

Hi! The latest status of INVGEN-30273 shows that a fix has been identified and it is being tested. Hopefully, it will be available soon.

In the meantime, you can disable an option to get past the issue. Go to Tools -> App Options -> Display -> Settings -> uncheck "Display silhouette."

Many thanks!
