Hello,

I have placed a level switch ( Blue Solid, imported from a dwg file ) into an assembly and constrained it with Insert. I have checked the lock rotation but it will still rotate. I could lock to another plane but this should work. No ?

Also. Can I sketch in an assembly do I have to start a new part ? I have tried to sketch and th esketch options are grayed out. I have turned off the Express Load option.

File attached.

Regards

Paul

Hi! I took a look. The issue is actually "P878-005-04:1."  It still has rotational degree of freedom. So, the lock rotates with it. You need to reduce the rotational dof on "P878-005-04:1."

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

Ha yes ! The insert constraint does not work on the hole cut in the conical component. I forgot to delete it.

Thanks for your prompt response.
