Student Version of Maya 2015 will not install!

Hey everyone, for the past few days I have been trying to get Maya 2015 installed on my computer and it refuses to work. I have tried all of the download methods, turned off my firewall and anti virus, and un-installed any previous AutoDesk program. I need to get this program running so I can start working on some projects but it will not install. Any help would be great!

I also meet the system requirements.

I also am in the same boat, not sure what the deal is with 2015. I go to click the install button in the first attached photo, and everything seems to work for about 5-10 seconds before winding up at the second attached photo. After studying the log it reads as follows:

It would appear that for some reason the installer isn't accessing the site it needs to? Maya 2014 seemingly installs without this error as I let it run for about a minute with no trouble.

 

I am using Windows 8.1, have no firewalls on my network and also tried installing with antivirus disabled; unfortunately nothing seems to be working! 

 

Anyone have any ideas?

I am trying to install Maya 2015, but there are the same problems that I could'nt install it...  Any sugestions?

Hi Joane, 

 

I attempted everything mentioned in your linked materials and nothing has seemed to work.

 

I am now getting an error 1603, as a result of an error with C++ 2008. I followed the tutorial and uninstalled this in the control panel (visible in attachment 1), but for some reason I am still getting the error.

I also attempted restarting before trying a Maya install, but that didn't work either.

 

Any ideas?

 

I am currently attempting to install after downloading Maya 2015 from the download assistant. I will let you know if anything works.

I was able to successfully get maya installed, but for some reason mental ray now says it is failing...

How in the hell could Maya install with no issues, but Mental Ray and Direct Connect now can't install...

Hi, I'm a student trying to download Maya 2015, Mental ray 2015 Autodesk direct connect 2015. I'm having the same issue that everyone is having. Starts downloading an then it says "Installation complete some product failed to install" I'm including the logs I got, Thank you for the help. I have home work due on Tuesday o please help me.

I'm having the same problem. First i couldn't get 3ds max installed, then I completely RESTORE my pc (because I really needed max), installed again windows 8.1 (with all the updates) and 3ds max and nothing more (and I really mean nothing more!). Then I started installing maya and after clicking on "install" it stops right away reporting an error in the log related to visual c++ 2012. Clearly here we have two softwares of the same software house that are crashing one on the other.... And I would also say that the ones who replied befor me (the last one 5 months ago), they deserve an answare to this problem too!

Hey, did you manage to install Maya in the end? as im having hte same issue as yourself and doe the exact same steps. and i ma still unable to install.

Yeah, I just deleted all of the installation files off my computer, tried
it again with the other download methods (I cant remember which one) and it
ended up working the 2nd or 3rd time around.
