Request for clarification

I work in a UK Univeristy and our IT department has asked for confirmation of a specific point before they will install some of the Autodesk software titles available under the educational licence.  We use Powerpoint and other online presentation software to provide content both live and recorded for our students - our IT wants to confirm that putting Autodesk generated models or drawings into such content is permissable under the educational licencing.

It sounds like it should be as it is for teaching purposes but they want to be certain.

Is this acceptable and who do I ask for confirmation that I can forward on to our IT dept.?

Thanks,

Glenn Miles

Hi @Anonymous,

Listed under the usage restrictions:

  • Software and services accessed through the Education plan may be used only for purposes directly related to learning, training, and research. They may not be used for commercial, professional, or any other for-profit purposes.

Since the models and drawings would be directly used for teaching then that would be permissible.

If you want to speak to somebody at Autodesk, I would suggest reaching out to educational support: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/contact-support
