Hi all,
I am using an M3 Max MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.5. I previously had a Maya 2024 install for a few months which ran with no issues. Suddenly this week, every time I attempt to open it, the icon just bounces and eventually closes. I attempted to fix following support articles online but nothing worked, so I attempted to uninstall and re-install.
When trying to re-install, nothing is working. I have deleted all my files from my computer following these 3 articles: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Clean-uninstall-of..., https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-uninstall-M..., https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Uninstall-from-MAC... . All that happens when I attempt to re-install is that the installer says 'preparing for installation', then eventually disappears, freezes and hangs with 100% CPU usage ( I even left it for 5 hours running and nothing happened). This happens for all of Maya 2023, 2024 and 2025. I have literally no idea what to do anymore - the software refuses to install, despite Maya being totally wiped from my computer.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Many thanks in advance!
