Making the switch from Suite to Collection

Hello I&L Community,                                                                    industry collection, suite, activation, activate

This subject has come up quite a bit. Many members would like to know how to change their previously installed Suite products & make them Collection products. You can change this information depending on your particular situation.

If you originally installed from a deployment of 2016 & older products:

  1. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the applications

  2. Install & activate with the Industry Collection credentials

Note: The ProductInformation.pit file stores the  Serial Number & Product Key information of all Autodesk products on the system located c:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ADLM\ProductInformation.pit the only way this is reset is by conducting a uninstall that is why you can not conduct the reset license function in this situation.

A suggestion for installing on multiple computers with multi-seat standalone licensing:

*The product can be installed on a local machine & the ProductInformation.pit file can be copied from one machine to another.(backup the file first)

*You can install the product on a local machine & create deployments for each product in the collection.

If you installed without a deployment:

  1. Hard Reset of 2017 & Newer products should force a reactivation
  2. Activate with the Industry Collection credentials in your Autodesk Account

Thank you.
