Hello, I'm unfortunately here and I'm writing this post because I can't activate my Student License of 3 years. One month ago I installed Inventor on my pc without any kind of problems but today when I was trying to reinstall it, and I had also problem with that because the setup pack doesn't work ( I don't know why) and I had to download every single pack ( 3 ) on my own, because I cleaned my pc completely yesterday, I found a very big issue. If I try to put my license the Process of Inventor closes without giving me a chance to activate it. I tried in different ways but everytime the process die. I tried to activate the license online but nothing, everytime I find an issue. I have to work on project and I have now only the trial version, but it's not enough time. Can anybody help me? I'm desperate..

What do you mean the process died when trying to activate it. Share a screenshot of what you're trying to see when you go to activate it. Make sure to blur out any serial # or personal information in your image. Also to the right of your posting is a link called New: Get an Activation Code
Use that link to try to activate your application.

Hello, thanks for your answer. So, just right now I can't give you a screen shot, I'm working with the trial on Inventor and everytime I log out I have to wait so much to rejoin and continue working. I can describe it, when you do the first log, there is a screen with join with an account, serial number and also activate with online license ( something like this, I'm italian, I use the italian version ) when I try to activate through the serial number, the main screen disappear and on the task manager the process too. Sorry If I can I'll send you the screen,.
Hello @Anonymous,
Thank you for posting on the forum, I understand you are having an issue activating your student software and had to settle for installing the trial that was successful. You can try to change the license type by following the steps below.
If this process does not work for you. You can also delete the file indicated in this article and the "Let's Get Started" screen should appear.
Please let us know how it goes.

Are you having an issue with activating Inventor or some other Autodesk Application? If it is Inventor, what (year) version? Are you a student?

Inventor itself, when I click to put the serial number it just closes the aplication and nothing happens, exactly as this fella's problem
It's 2017 version
And yes, I'm a student, got the serial, just can't use it!

Try this...
I stole this wording/reply from my buddy @Darin.Green, so he takes all the credit for the steps..
This should help get your application working. Assuming you have a valid serial number/contract.
Close the application
Please note, folders of C:\Programdata and C:\Users\[Username]\Appdata (listed below) are hidden folders and you may need to adjust your viewing settings.
On your computer, navigate to: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\<Product_Key>_2017.0.0.F [<Product Key> is the product key of the Autodesk Application you have]
Delete the LGS.data file.
Navigate to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ folder
Delete the ADUT folder and it's contents
Start the application.
When you start the application, it will prompt you to choose one of the following:
Login - 30 day trial licenses
Serial Number - Standalone and Single-User activation
Network - Network License server for obtaining licenses from a machine on your network
Choose the option that matches your license. Students will always select serial #.

Already tried that mate...
The problem is not the screen with the options showing up, is that when that screen shows up and I click into "serial number" it just closes and it doesnt proceed to the "serial number screen"!
I can do that a lot of times, the result is always the same, it closes and nothing happens
