Inventor Student Version

Quick question regarding student versions.

I have just had to replace my laptop which had Inventor 2013 installed on.

To get Inventor on to the new Laptop , do I need to uninstall it on the old laptop , and then download and reinstall on the new ?.

Is that allowed ? , or is there a different process to do this ?.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Marty

AutoDesk tracks activations, not deactivations.  So you don't need to uninstall, although if this is to be a permanent move the license transfer utility (LTU) might be worth looking into.  I say "might" as its usually just a matter of install on the new hardware and activate.  If you've activated multiple times you'll need to manually request an activation code rather than have one sent automagically to your new computer.
