I just upgraded my computer from an XP system to Windows 7 Pro and am trying to install my Inventor 10 (2005 Release) on it. I thought I should be able to install and run in Windows 7 Pro with Compatability Mode. When i install the DVD, I get the following error: Microsoft WSE 2.0 Runtime Error: 1001. Then install is aborted. It seems to me the program should atleast upload, even if it won't run?? Anyone still running XP era Inventor on Windows 7? If so, how? Thx, Shaun
We support Inventor 2010 SP1 and later version running on Windows 7 officially, see our system requirement for Inventor products:

No this is not possible. You may get it installed but most likely it will not function. Why do you need a 13 yr old product?
