Hello all,
I am planning on starting school in a few weeks and they provide a student version of Autocad. My laptop doesn't have a CD drive. Can I still download Autocad online or would I need a CD for installation. Also, my computer has an Intel Core i7, GTX 960M, 8GB DDR4, 512GB SSD. Is that sufficient to run Autocad 2015 or 2016? My computer is also Windows 10 (64 bit).
Thanks for your help.

A few things about your posting and requirements.
1. Just because you're starting a school doesn't mean you're entitled to free Autodesk software. You must qualify as an educational institution that is recognized by your country/local government.
2. If you do qualify you are unable to install license issued to students. These (student) license can only be installed on student owned devices. If you are the instructor/mentor than you have to apply for the educational institution license and those license can only be install on the "school" owned devices.
3. AutoCAD 2015 is not supported under Windows 10. Although it works, the OS is not offically supported. Second thing about Win 10, if you have the Win 10 Anniversary edition you can run into issus with either version of AutoCAD and if you subscribe to the Win 10 Insider Preview, you will have a numerous issue and Autodesk is not supporting any Autodesk product on this version.
4. AutoCAD 2016 is fully supported by Win10 under its service pack 1.
5. Min system requirements can be found here.. 2015 and 2016..
6. Update: Sorry I forgot you had a question about CD/Media. You can download and install your application via the Autodesk Virtual Agent.
