I need help installing

This always happens when I try to install an inventor or anything else. I am a student so I get a 3 year term, so I try getting the software which we have in school (inventor 2020) and the first time I ever did it with 2017, it worked fine but now it keeps saying it's a free trial. what am I missing? I get the email of the serial number and the codes and stuff, I asked someone in the customer service for the second time and this time it didn't work and got confused pretty quickly so now I'm here. please help.

Are you using an Inventor 2020 serial number on Inventor 2020; version serial numbers are not interchangable,

If you need to request the Inventor 2020 SN then go here: https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/inventor-professional

You can double check Inventor 2020 is in your account by going to: http://manage.autodesk.com/

Look under products and services -> Inventor -> All version you have assigned will appear below.

If you still encounter issues contact education support as customer support ignore educational accounts: https://www.autodesk.com/education/support

Are you saying you're not getting an option to put in the serial number?
