Graphics Card Not Initialized

Hi! So, I know this issue has been addressed in other forums, however the solutions have not been helpful to me. Anyway, every time I open 3ds max I get an error pop up that says the graphics card had not been initialized and that the program will close immediately, essentially rendering it totally useless. I also tried

downloading both the 2018 and 2019 versions to see if one would work but they both have the same error. Here’s what I’ve tried:

running the programs in warp mode

reinstalling and repairing

changing graphics mode

installing updates from autodesk

none of these actions did anything. Please help!

Thank you,

aidan

Reset 3dsmax yet?
Does the problem go away if you log in as an all new user on your PC and test it?

Your 3dsMax version is...?
Your OS is...?
Your video card is...? Video card driver version installed is...? and have you tried one of the video card drivers listed here yet https://knowledge.autodesk.com/certified-graphics-hardware

Is resetting 3ds max different than reinstalling it? How does one do that?

I have both 3ds max 2019 and 2018, both with the exact same problem, Operating System is Windows 7 64bit, I'm not sure how to check the videocard but when I clicked on the link you sent me, it turned up that there were two possible drivers to be downloaded. One lead to a 404 page, and the other I downloaded, but gave me an error. I've attached both the 3ds max error screenshot and the driver error screenshot. Thanks for the reply!!

your getting an error with the driver install from nvidia contact them to see what driver is compatible with your graphics card it might be the reason your getting tne error with 3ds max
