Hi there.
Recently I accidentally formatted one of my hard-drives (My D drive). Unfortunately this was the hard-drive that my copy of maya was installed on. Now whenever I try and re-install maya, it already thinks it's installed and so all it attempts to do is install mental ray and direct connect.
I suspect the issue is that when the disk got formatted, the registry entries on my C drive remained in tact. I have tried running the free version CCleaner (https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download) to remove the entries from the registry, however this does not seem to have worked.
Whenever I go into regedit, and perform a 'Find' operation (searching for either 'autodesk' or 'maya') i still see plenty of entries still there.
I am hesitant to delete these because I'm not experienced enough to know how to delete registry entries without jeopardizing my pc's health.
Does anyone have any suggestions what I can do to help me get my computer to recognize maya is not currently installed (Win-8 64)?
