Bring back Uninstall Tool

Hi,

the Uninstall Tool was pretty nice to uninstall a previus version on a PC and also to see all installed Products.

But it is not working with 2022.

Please bring back this tool

Ah, got it.

Autodesk changed the rules for 2022 and newer versions

Hi,

thank you for this. It is not such as nice as the uninstall tool because it is not for all products and all versions in one step easy to use for all workstations.

I agree, not continuing with the Uninstall Tool for 2022 products and higher in my opinion is the most impractical decision ever made and complete waste of my time when having to do uninstalls manually, especially if the user is required to use other versions made available to them in a subscription. As advised by Autodesk, it is NOT best practice to have multiple versions installed at any time (as this can cause functionality issues) and therefore, not being able to uninstall quickly is a nightmare to say the least and much longer if you are performing a clean uninstall or rebuild.

Hello all,

I completely agree with the colleagues worrying about their wasted time.

We're about to prepare for a new Autodesk release, with a dozen different products for a lot of machines, and we greatly would appreciate any helpful advice *not* involving the windows control panel.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Stefan

Already have unfortunately, as I've also been seeing issues with the uninstall process where language packs are not uninstalled when performing a programmes and features uninstall workflow. It highlighted when i attempted to reinstall Inventor 2022 which errored and informed me about an underlying language pack. I was pointed towards the clean uninstall workflow (which I do for customers when performing upgrades) as the Microsoft uninstall tool is required to finish off the process. Can see that being a nightmare when upgrading a multi user environment.

Not long ago I've heard somebody talking about secret "AdskUninstallHelpers", which might be found in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Uninstallers...
Joking aside - you just may check it out.

If it were possible to line them up correctly in a batch file, eventually this might be part of a solution.

Well - unfortunately I could not find any uninstall helpers for language packs.

Now we just ask for some assistance from you autodesk guys since one needs to know, whether deinstallation is safe and complete enough to let it run automatized on a greater number of computers.
Could that be a way?

The uninstall tool is such an easy way to remove ALL the products in a particular release.  One click on the appropriate box, then one click on "uninstall" and all the products are uninstalled.  Much simpler and such a time saver as opposed having to do it in the Programs and Features.

Anything that you find "useful" and "convenient" may be taken away at anytime by AD. I've seen it happen too many times.

Typical Autodesk, they have a useful tool that works well and they don't make any money off of it so they stop providing it. Where is the service and support to their clients...always the bottom line.

Sehe ich auch so, dass das ein gutes Hilfsmittel für den Administrator war.

Aber Autodesk ist interessiert am Installieren und nicht am Deinstallieren.

Aber BITTE BITTE bringt das Tool zurück.

-----

I also see that this was a good tool for the administrator.

But Autodesk is interested in installing, not uninstalling.

But PLEASE PLEASE bring the tool back.
