AutoCad LT 2019 on Mac Not Responding on Startup

Hi,

I am trying to start a trial of AutoCad LT to see if I want to purchase a license and am having errors starting up the application.

I can open the start window where it gives the option to select a license type or start a free trial, but as soon as I click any of them, the application stops responding and eventually quits.

I am running Mojave version 10.14.2 and my computer more than meets the rest of the system requirements. I have attached the output from the system log below.

--------

Jan 9 16:11:57 iMac [BrowserExtension][12994]: [2019-Jan-09 16:11:57.470394] Cannot find AdWebServices configuration directory
Jan 9 16:13:42 iMac [Script][12994]: [2019-Jan-09 16:13:42.880803] jsO2ServicesController - load login state failed
Jan 9 16:13:42 iMac [Script][12994]: [2019-Jan-09 16:13:42.881444] jsO2ServicesController - load login state failed
Jan 9 16:13:42 iMac [Script][12994]: [2019-Jan-09 16:13:42.889111] DefLic.getLicenseInfo - failed to get license info because: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'this.globalJsonArgs.userId')

--------

It seems to be failing because I do not have a defined userID, but I imagine this should not be an issue since I am just trying to start a free trial.

Any insights into why this might be happening would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried reinstalling it?

Also, in your account manager do you show a Serial number or does it say:   Sign In

Hi Mike,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice and also restarted my computer. In the License Transfer Utility (not sure if the account manager is something separate) it shows a serial number of all 0s.

Completely uninstall and check https://manage.autodesk.com to see if trial is shown in your account.

I uninstalled it and nothing is shown under the Trials section of the account manager.

Are you installing as admin with any firewalls disabled?

When did you activate the trial?

Hi @colette.z.herrick

So what do you see in your Account manager for AutoCAD LT MAC itself?

Do you see a serial number or a just sign in?

What do you see when you're trying to activate it?

The trial has never actually been activated. The application stops responding and quits when I press the "start a free trial" button so I haven't gotten through actually starting a trial.

Hi,

I finally got the application working. In the startup screen, if I clicked "single user", "start a trial," or whatever the "joint user" choice was, the application would immediately stop responding and crash. However, you have to click "enter a serial number" and the free trial will activate without you having to enter a serial number.

Seems like kind of a strange design choice but I am just glad I got the trial working.

Thanks for all your help!

Hello @colette.z.herrick

Glad you resolved your issue, I just wanted to check on why the License Utility was used to start a trial?
