AutoCAD 2011 Activation Code - Not Receiving after email submission

Anonymous
Not applicable

I recently upgraded my laptop and successfully installed my perpetual licence AutoCAD 2011 on the new machine.  However, after following all of the instructions to receive a new activation code, I have yet to receive an activation code via email.  I have 4 days remaining on the trial licence and require the activation code from Autodesk.  Using my serial number and product key, I am able to generate the XML code and have emailed it to

rtxml-us@activation.autodesk.com.  I sent the request on November 23rd and did not receive a response.  I went through the process again on December 9th and still have not received an activation code.  I have 4 days of access remaining and require my software for my business.  I appreciate any assistance this forum can provide. Thank you.

Why can't you just follow the activation steps when you select activate from AutoCAD 2011?   There's no need to send any email..

Hello Mark.

My AutoCAD 2011 perpetual licence will not register via the Connect now and activate option. It generates a message “Activation does not match licence type” and has an error code (123). Through troubleshooting this error and investigating a solution, I learned that for older perpetual licence versions, you to register via the offline method in order to receive an activation code as the “connect now and activate” does not support earlier versions of AutoCAD.

Just go here ava.autodesk.com and type chat with agent.

State the issue as activating my software and follow the prompts.

Mark,
I appreciate the suggestion, however I utilized the Ava On-line Chat while in the process of troubleshooting. The suggestions take me back to the solutions I have tried. The offline submission, which appears to be the correct path, worked with the exception of receiving flan activation code.

In the AVA chat you connect with an actual Autodesk agent and tell them your situation..  Have you done that?

You will want to find the option to schedule a support call if that's an option for your out of support 2011 version, if you did all of this https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Error-...

BTW, AutoCAD2011 is not supported in Win10, which means Autodesk is not interested ever in helping with any issue, it does not mean anything else you might read into "supported" http://autode.sk/1IY4C2X

Autodesk is also killing off reauthorizing of 2011 software as of March 2021, and based on dozens of posts WIn10 seems to be wiping out licenses and forcing reauthorizations randomly but deliberately for many old software users. Read all about the March2020 deadline here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/previous-ver...
