Good day all,
I happen to be an unfortunate individual who was led to believe I could install a 2020 Inventor on an offline pc. Now I am being told that I cannot use a 2020 Inventor on an offline pc. Our laboratory is by accreditation restricted to have any pcs connected to the internet. I am hoping to find a solution to what I am being told to purchase a multi-user license for $1000+ in order to use it on an offline pc.
Any help or suggestion is very much appreciated. thanks

Licensing and installation of Autodesk products need to be posted in the Installation and Licensing forum https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/installation-licensing/bd-p/24 and not in the product forum. I will have the moderator relocate your posting there to best suit your needs.
However to answer your question... Single User Subscription works like this...
First launch after installation, requires a live internet connection and an related Autodesk account to activate
Second day launch..
Third day launch
Once it reaches 7 to 10 days left on the off-line counter, it prompts to sign in for activation.
Once it reaches 0 days, product will not work until you connect to the internet.
If you don't have access to internet in your lab, after 30 days the product will not function anymore. You will need to start a new subscription to a multi-user of Inventor. There's no other choice..
