I am a student and have used 2016 through the first few years of my architecture school. I NEED to access those files and i also prefer using Revit 2016 over the newer versions. Does anyone know the reason for that? I know that you can only download the previous 3 versions but i already have it downloaded and i know other people who have student licenses and can still use revit 2016, as long as they already had it downloaded.
2016 is not available under the student license anymore
Autodesk will not give you a serial number for it
more than likely they got 2016 when Autodesk was still offering it under the student license which was removed when the 2020 version came out

The oldest you will be able to get is 2017, since Autodesk only supports current version and 3 years, especially within education (you don't pay anything).
