Unable to extract Revit part 1 or part 2 to C:/AUTODESK

Hi,

I've just downloaded Revit 2017 part 1 and Part2 (and I got a student license by email).

Whenever I double-click on Autodesk_Revit_2017_English_Win_64bit_dlm_001_002.sfx or Autodesk_Revit_2017_English_Win_64bit_dlm_002_002.sfx

I get a window asking to select a folder to extract (C:/AUTODESK)

I press Enter, but nothing happen.

The program just quits with no error message at all.

I try to install it on Windows 7 SP1 64 bit Home edition (on a Mac with BootCamp)

What should I check or search to understand why the extraction fails?

Thanks for any help

Welcome to the community...

@Alfred.NESWADBA shared the follow information with a user who was experiencing the same issue and it helped them.  You may want to give it a try..

"disable your antivirus system, make sure your destination is set to a local drive, copy the unpacked exe to a local folder, unplug or disconnect from network and start the (unpacked) exe with a right-click ==> "start as administrator".

Make sure the destination volume has enough free space."
