I'm having issues running AutoCAD 2017 on Win10x64 - Only AutoCAD not Revit or 3DSMax

I've tried everything on here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCA...

To no avail, can anyone assist?

Is this the first time setting it up or was it working before?

Perform a license reset per this article.

It worked fine before, this is when I performed a clean installation to Win10.

Hi Mark, I followed the link and applied all the suggestions.

It did ask for signin info for all AutoDesk applications (Revit/ 3DSmax etc. - signed in no problem).

However AutoCAD didn't ask for login (username or serial no) and jut stated the same error as before appeared (took quite a while to load, had to run as Admin as I believe it froze on opening.)

Also just to note, i did disable the firewall (and AV) while doing this.

Thanks for your assistance.

I assume you were issued a serial # for AutoCAD? Or no serial # was issued to you? Are you saying all of the other products are working?

Did you delete LoginState.XML file located C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Web Services folder?

Hi Mark,

Yes I've delete the folder however it still states the error. Also doesn't ask to enter a serial number/ login info. just loads up and shows the error.

I've tried uninstalling AutoCAD also to no avail.

Yes we use a serial No for AutoCAD (all AutoDesk Applications).

Hello @info

I have listed some possible issues, but first be sure you have signed out all Autodesk applications on other computers & are only signed into one computer.

Please try the following steps to continue troubleshooting:

  1. Reboot the computer & quit any applications from Task Manager running in the background
  2. Check the Windows profile it needs to be changed to Administrator
  3. Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your system
  4. Use Fiddler to locate web sessions being processed on the system, to locate network traffic
  5. License Service is Disabled or Corrupt (standalone)
  6. Make sure your software is assigned to you by the Administrator
  7. Resetting and Changing Your Autodesk Account Password

Thank you for posting.

Thanks for your swift response Natasha.

Regarding the suggested steps:

1. Tried this, however it didn't work.

2. Local/ Domain users are members of the Administrator group.

3. Tried disabling all security features to no avail.

4. Also did not work.

5. FLEXnet Licensing Service is enabled and working - did all the steps, to no avail.

6. Couldn't access the link - however the software was installed by an Admin user.

Any other suggestions would be most welcome.

Kind regards,
