Revit Server and Windows Server 2016

Hi all,

We are planning to migrate to Windows Server 2016 soon and I would like to know if anyone can tell me if Revit Server 2015, 2016 and 2017 run without any issues on Windows Server 2016?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Per the system requirements (for 2017), it is not supported but I will tag @Darin.Green, @DarrenP, or @Todd_Rogers for the input just in case they know something that I don't.

Good day guys,

I just recently tried to implement Revit Server 2017 in a Windows Server 2016 OS. It worked with the following configurations:

Server application for 2016.PNG

Capture.PNG

Capture1.PNG

The main difference of server 2016 is that it does not have the Application Server Role. I don't know why but the Application Server features are now distributed to other sections.

Thanks

Jerous

Hello Jerous!

It has been a year and a half since you posted this. I would like to know how well it has been working. Any issues at all? Did you use it for RS 2019? Any updates or gained experience you'd like to share?
