Revit Infraworks Updater 2020 failed to install. I get an install error 1603: Fatal error during installation. Anybody else having this problem? Can somebody over at Autodesk look into this please. Much appreciated and thanks.

I read your posting 2 ways..

1.  Installing the 2020 version

2.  Installing an update

Which one is it?

Without your installation log file we can only speculate what the issue is at this point.  So attach your installation file here so we can review it.

Posting info: Sometimes the installation log file contains the serial # that was assigned to you.  Open your log file using Windows Notepad and perform a search on "/SN".  Depending on the number of installation attempts, your serial # may be located throughout the log file.  If present, remove or "X" out your serial # prior to posting.

Have you updated the 2020 licensing mechanism?  https://synergiscadblog.com/2019/07/24/autodesk-licensing-mechanism/

Well, it looks like the update doesn't appear on my ADA anymore. I'm assuming the issue was resolved with Autodesk. I don't know.

But as far as the 2020 licensing mechanism, I'm pretty sure I have that. I am running Revit 2020 and 3DS Max 2020 so if I did have 2020 licensing issues, Revit and 3DS Max wouldn't be working properly.

Well, I guess I'll wait and see what with the next Infraworks update and post if there are any issues. Thanks.

Don't assume you have the latest..  Have you checked to see if that licensing mechanism version folder is there?

And just because you don't have an issue right now doesn't mean you have the latest version either..  😀
