Revit 2022 Error 1603 Fatal Error During Installation

Using the new online deployment generator for Revit 2022. Deployment is created fine but when I use the batch file to install I get the dreaded yet ever present 1603 error. The log file tells me nothing except there was a fatal error during installation. What's next?

Yep, none of that helped. Why is it that Autodesk's solution to any problem is always, "Burn your computer and try again"? I'm sorry but I'm not uninstalling every piece of software on my machine or de-registering everything to install a new program.

I don't know which log file you want so here's all of them.

Since my last post, I've created a stripped down version of the deployment without any customization and it has been "preparing to install" for two hours now. Not sure if that's progress but it's something different.

Looks like the installer does not find the "J:" drive. Is this a local drive or a connected network drive ?

That's a network drive. I changed those locations back to the default C: drive in the modified deployment. I'm no longer getting the 1603 error but now the installation just sits in the preparation phase all day long.

I figured the J: drive was part of the problem so I removed that from the deployment. All drive locations are now the default. I'm not getting the 1603 error now but I'm also not getting anything installed. The "Preparing to Install" dialog box comes up and never does anything. I've left it running all day with no result.

It's definitely a network drive access issue with the computer on which I was trying to install Revit. I got this error when I ran the deployment as an administrator:

It's been a while so I had to review my notes. No, I did not get this resolved. I managed to get 2022 installed on one machine using the plain install method but the deployment does not work.

The 1603 error is gone but the deployment still doesn't work. I switched to using the install method with a custom Revit.ini file instead to get it to load on one machine. There hasn't been a big push in my office to use 2022 so I haven't been working on this.

Have you thought about submitting a case about this?

I too have had the 1606 and now the 1603 after chatting with Autodesk and getting download links to the five install files.  Installing 100% locally usually fixes Revit install issues, but it didn't this time.  I might reboot, login as an admin, and try again.
