Revit 2017 installation freezes on Content Libraries

Anonymous

Hello,

I am trying to install Revit 2017 on my computer (a Macbook Pro with Windows 10 pro in Boot Camp), but the installation halts on the Content Libraries.

I've already deactivated Firewall, Antivírus, UAC and Smartscreen, put Autodesk.com as a safe site, downloaded the full installer using the Autodesk Virtual Agent, but the installation keeps on freezing.

And I've just reinstalled Windows from scratch, so there's nothing to clean on register or else.

What can I do?

If you browse to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2017\Libraries are all of the files there? If so, then your Revit.ini only need to be updated.

Based on the log file, the files already exists. Even though it said "Won't Overwrite   Won't Patch" they're still there and the hashes are matching. Please post your Revit.ini file. The file is located C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2017\UserDataCache

Thanks. I have re-run the installation and it worked. It bypassed the content and managed to recover the system.

Thanks for uploading the file. I've attached a good copy of the file for your use. You'll need to update the revit.ini file in the following locations with the one attached.

  • C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2017\UserDataCache
  • %appdata%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2017

Just copy the paths above into the address bar of Windows Explorer...
