"access2sqliteconverter" crashes AutoCAD 2015

Hi All,

I have been using AutoCAD 2015 for about half a year now. Recently a background app "access2sqliteconverter" under AutoCAD would take up almost 100% of CPU and keep using almost 100% until I force quit it in the task manager.

I have tried using my AutoCAD with and without a VPN, this would happen with either scenario. I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall my AutoCAD, but it didn't fix the issue. For my AutoCAD drawing, I have the schematic symbols and layout symbols library on the network drive.

I have a Windows 11 laptop with I7-1165G7 and an integrated graphic card.

I understand that Windows 11 and AutoCAD 2015 might not be compatible. But this issue just started happening recently.

Has this happened to anyone and if so please let me know if you have found a solution.

Thank you in advance.

Windows 10 and 11 are both not meeting the requirements:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-r...

System requirements for AutoCAD 2015
Operating System
  • Microsoft® Windows® 8/8.1
  • Microsoft Windows 8/8.1 Pro
  • Microsoft Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Window...

Solution:

See the System Requirements for each product for exact information.

  • All 2017 and newer Autodesk software runs on Windows 10.
  • Many 2016 products can run on Windows 10 with the application of the Autodesk service pack specified in the system requirements.
  • Most 2015 and earlier products are not compatible with Windows 10, unless otherwise stated in the system requirements.

.... find and remove "background app access2sqliteconverter" somehow: sorry that's for you to figure out on your own in Win11, an unsupported OS. It is the SQL Lite tool/database something you are running needs (not plain AutoCAD 2015 that's for sure).

Good luck.

Yeah, I use AutoCAD Electrical and have my schematic and layout library in a network location. So I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Yes .. that's where it's from.

But I would review what I mentioned about W10 and W11  ... seen a lot of corrupted drawings due to crashes.
