Network License Not Available: Error[-15.570.0]

Running Parallels 12 with Windows 10 on a MacBook Pro with a single license server. I've attached the debug log, Inventor 2018 can't find the license server. It appears that everything is running.

Hello blair and welcome to the Autodesk community!

It looks like you are seeing the following: "[-15.570.0] A valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager". This error has various causes. The following article(s) should help you resolve the problem:

Error: "A valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager"

Thanks, I'll dive into this this evening. The debug log shows that the server is running with the correct license. The license server is running on the same machine as Inventor is. Trying the License File option returns an error. It's a simple Inventor and Nastran InCad 2018 license. I've tried creating and downing the license a number of times and get the same data in the License File.

The problem seems to reside with the "lmgrd". Not sure if running on Parallels is the issue.

Not sure if this will help or not but you may want to review this article and the solution it provides.   You have the same error.   I will tag @TravisNave for his input...

@blair

Thought I would share my two cents...

Error [-15.570.0] indicates a connection issue. Both links provided by @Mark.Lancaster & @DarrenP are good things to try, but I would also recommend checking the following:

  1. Technically, I recommend uninstalling LMTOOLS from C:\Autodesk\ and reinstall it to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\. However, if that's ok just move your license file from C:\Autodesk\ to C:\Autodesk\Network License Manager\License
  2. Give the Everyone user group full permissions to the Network License Manager directory and push the permissions down to sub-folders and files
  3. Disable the firewall or open TCP Ports 2080,27009-27009 for Inbound Rules

No network involved, all components are on a laptop. As an Expert Elite, we are allowed to use software under ADSK's NFR program. The only issue is that they only supply Nastran's InCad as a "multi-user" license requiring a license server for Inventor and Nastran.

Not sure if the issue is with running Parellels on this Mac laptop.

The issue still seems to be with the LMGRD. I've pasted the Server Status from the LMTOOLS:

Flexible License Manager status on Thu 7/13/2017 23:08 [Detecting lmgrd processes...] License server status: @BLAIRSTUNDE7B27 License file(s) on BLAIRSTUNDE7B27: C:\Autodesk\BLAIRSTUNDE7B27001c42332d9b.lic: lmgrd is not running: Cannot connect to license server system. The license server manager (lmgrd) has not been started yet, the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the port or hostname in the license file has been changed. Server name: BLAIRSTUNDE7B27 License path: @BLAIRSTUNDE7B27; FlexNet Licensing error:-15,570 For further information, refer to the FlexNet Licensing documentation, available at "www.flexerasoftware.com".

i assumed you were getting this on launch of Nastran

No, with Inventor as th Nastran is a plugin for it.

Yest the Hostname and MAC address are correct. I did a cut/paste from within the LMTools. Tried that a couple of times.

I can't get the Imged to start

i have seen this caused by the hostname being wrong in the license file it was usually 1 letter or number is missing

another thing to try is put in the IP address instead of the hostname in the license file

I've done the License about 5 times using the Cut/Paste from the LMTOOLS utility. Both the License Server and software reside on the same machine. The MacBook Pro is a laptop that's not connected to any network.

Solved,

AVG, changed settings to allow LMTOOLS full access from the "Auto Choose" function.
