Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 error requiring the 64-bit version to run AutoCAD Electrical.

I work at a college, and I am currently trying to install both AutoCAD 2023 Electrical, and some products from Rockwell Automation. AutoCAD 2023 requires the use of the 64-bit version for Microsoft's Access Database Engine (2016). This is an issue because the Rockwell software requires the use of the 32-bit engine. While going through the install, I received the error saying I could not have both 32-bit and 64-bit engines installed on my machine. I was wondering if anyone had a solution to this problem. Thank you!

Hi @robertlfranken

As mentioned .. review @handjonathan link

Also: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-electrical/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarti...

Make sure you have the updates installed too:

  • Version 2023
    1. Install AutoCAD Electrical Update 2023.0.1
      • Download the update either from Autodesk Account or from Autodesk Desktop App.

Sadly this solution did not work. I changed the registry key but I still received the same error. I can get AutoCAD to work with the 64-bit engine, but this makes my Rockwell software stop working. Using the quiet install, I can have both engines on my machine. This solution did not work because one or the other takes precedence, and it causes either AutoCAD or the Rockwell application to stop working.

As much as I don't want to say this fully .. might need to reach out Rockwell as well and see what they have for options too.
