Maya does not open on macOS Catalina

I downloaded the student edition of Maya 2020, ran the setup and everything was working fine and today, the app just won't open! The icon just bounces in the dock and then gives me this error - The app "Maya.app" can't be opened. I did everything. Deleting all files and folders related to Autodesk and Maya, and reinstalling it. Still won't work.
My machine: MacBook Pro 13" 2018, 2.3GHz Quad-core, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD. The 2019 version of Maya works fine. 
Is there any solution to this?

Are you on Catalina? 

We trust that you went through all the security settings and adding Maya to the Accessibility and Full Disk Access list?

You could also try this

- uninstall Maya

- install the standalone licensing app from the link below

- reinstall Maya

This is really annoying, its clearly a problem on Autodesk side that should be solved.

Out of curiosity did you try the install approach to installing to the MacintoshHD - Data Drive approach that can.j.lokman suggested on the first page of this forum post?

I have offered a few suggestions on possibly alleviating this with the manual license application install, as well as adding Maya to the Accessiblity and Full Disk Access list. If you are using a student version did you register the student version with your educational institute email address?

Maya licensing isn't really my domain of expertise so perhaps at this point in time the best course of action would be to contact Autodesk Maya support. You can do so here:

On this^ page in the bottom left there is a blue button that says "Contact Support". Try to open a support case regarding this.

Tried the Data Approach and all other recommendations, still nothing.

I tried more than 30 Maya installs for the past 7 days! : /

Will contact support, but its insane to have do deal with that kind of stuff

Does this problem occur only with people with student license? Im on a student licence and Maya 2020 does not work, the same goes for Mudbox 2020. It is not working on macOS Catalina.

And, you are using your student email address to register and obtain the license correct?

Please contact support as well. Perhaps there is a genuine problem with the academic licensing.

I also read all the threads that you mentioned and follow al the instructions, but again Maya does not open

did you install Maya on the Macintosh HD - Data drive?

Also, in the OSX sys prefs, under Security & Privacy, under Privacy category, is Maya listed in the Accessibility section, as well as the Full Disk Access, and Files and Folders sections?

I know this is an old thread, but seems like this issue still persists on newer versions of Maya and newer OSX versions. I've been using Maya 2023 without issue on macOS Ventura, but some recent update has given me this issue. 
Was driving me nuts, I would have to do a clean install of Maya 2023, have it work once, and then the issue come back the next day, rinse repeat.
This thread got me a workaround that was faster than reinstalling every day. 

It seems for whatever reason, the Autodesk license service decides not to run intermittently, which you can see if you check it on Activity Monitor. Making it run by using the terminal command 
sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.autodesk.AdskLicensingService.plist 
gets it going again and Maya opens up without issue again.

Hope that works for anybody still affected by this issue. 
I'd love to know why it's doing that in the first place, but in the mean time, this drives me significantly less nuts.
