Hi,

I successufully install Maya, and I tried to run it the first time. The icon appears for one second on the bar and then disappears. No warning, no error, nothing at all. I'm not able to run Maya neither for put the educational license.

I have windows 10.

Any suggestion?

Thank you,

Cheers

I checked the suggestions but nothing seems to be wrong on the system.

In another computer of my colleague works, but not in mine, and he got windows 10 as well.

Should be helpful knowing where some message are stored, I didn't find anything in log events of administrative tools in windows.

cheers

Hello @Anonymous,

Welcome to the community! Smiley Happy Sorry for the Maya 2017 issues. I understand you are trying to figure out what went wrong with the installation of the program.

To generate a log file for the application please go to the Windows Start Menu > Run box (shortcut key Winkey+R) and typing%TEMP% into the box and clicking OK.

Run.png

If you sort the files by date, you should be able to easily locate the Autodesk product installation .log file.  It will be named according to your product.  You can open this file in any text editor, such as Notepad and attach this file to your reply.

Hi!

thank you, the problem is related to license

2016-11-14 10:46:17: INFO: checkoutLicense: GetFeatureAuthorization Status 1 (Failure)
2016-11-14 10:46:17: ERROR: checkoutLicense: Failed to authorize license
2016-11-14 10:46:17: INFO: shutdown: ReleaseFeatureAuthorization Status 0 (Success)
2016-11-14 10:46:17: INFO: shutdown: normal exit

I got the educational and the _DEF_PROD_KEY is ok (checked in mail).

So what can the problem be?

Thank you!

Daniele

Hello @Anonymous,

Try running through the steps below, then try to launch the product.

Reset Internet Options:

  1. Clear the browser cache
  2. Browse to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Internet Option
  3. In the Advanced tab > Reset button to reset Internet Explorer's settings to the defaults
  4. In the Security tab, select Reset All Zones to Default level
  5. In the Content tab, select Clear SSL state
  6. Select Apply

In the Control Panel >> Internet Options >> Connections tab >> LAN settings >> Automatically Detect Settings

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
