Maya 2014 Installation Error 0xc000007b

Right.

No matter what I do whenever I install Maya 2014 I get the message saying:

'The Application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.'

Now, I cannot find a valid fix for this ANYWHERE and, for a company as big as Autodesk, that is ridiculous!

So far I have tried:

- Reinstalling the software (following every step recommended by Autodesk).

- Swapping the msvcr100.dll files.

- Doing a full disk clean up.

- and a bunch of other steps I can't even remember.

Now I'm aware that people have been having this issue for YEARS, so why has Autodesk not come up with a fix that ACTUALLY WORKS?

If anyone knows of a way to fix this that genuinely works I would seriously appreciate it. (NO Links in Spanish or Italian please)

Hello @Anonymous

Try uninstalling the 2010 Microsoft Visual C++ from your system - there could be as many as 4 to uninstall.  Then reinstall them:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64)
