Installation freezes on Microsoft Visual C++ 2017

Hello.

I have been attempting to install AutoCAD Architecture 2019 and 2020 to my PC.

However, every time the installation freezes when at Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 installation process. The installation bar is active, but overall progress does not go and stops on 27/30 or 28/30.

I was trying to wait for 30 mins, 1 hour, 3 hours, but nothing has happened.

What I did:

- reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ from 2015 to 2019, including 2017

- completely removed MS Visual C++ 15, 17, 19

- completely deleted all files related to Autocad previous versions, including those in AppData

- put my lop bunny on the keyboard hoping he could do some magic

Nothing helped.

So I am a bit desperate, since I can't even find a solution to this problem in the web.

My PC specs:

MSI Ge70PL Apache

Windows 8.1 64 bit

I would be extremely grateful if someone gives an idea of how to deal with this. Even my bunny is desperate.

Screenshot of installation window attached.

Regards,

May

Without your installation log file we can only speculate what the issue is at this point.  So attach your installation file here so we can review it.

Posting info: Sometimes the installation log file contains the serial # that was assigned to you.  Open your log file using Windows Notepad and perform a search on "/SN".  Depending on the number of installation attempts, your serial # may be located throughout the log file.  If present, remove or "X" out your serial # prior to posting.

From Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 till Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 you can have only the newest version.

So if you have successfully installed "Microsoft Visual C++ 2019", remove 2015 and 2017 from the setup.ini and try again. It is possible, that the older runtime installer have problems if the newest Visual C++ 2019 runtime is installed.
