Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Is this a new install of AutoCAD 2016 on your computer or was it working up to recently and then the Content service started throwing this error?

Is your AutoCAD fully updated with hotfixes, service packs, etc?

Have you checked your Windows Event log to see if there are messages at startup that indicate why it is failing to start?

Are you running as a full local admin on your machine?

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

HI @Anonymous,

OK, if this is a new install of AutoCAD 2016, do the install logs still exist? If so can you zip them up and attach them to a post? In the mean time I will move this thread to the Installation and Licensing forum so they can help with your install issue as well.

Hello @natasha.l and @john.vellek

I tried to start in the service console, but then I get the error message I previously described.

I have attached the logs. I did not know exactly what you wanted, so I added all Autodesk files.

Hello @Anonymous,

I see you are trying a  "install now" download method you want to try a more effective method called "browser download".

  1. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the program use MSfixitTool to complete the uninstall
  2. Log in as an Administrator
  3. Empty your TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Start Menu and hit Enter
  4. Temporarily disable your Antivirus software & Firewall
  5. Temporarily disable UAC:  Windows 7 , Windows 10
  6. Use Browser Download Method from Autodesk Account or via the Autodesk Virtual Agent (download all the parts)

Let us know how it goes. Smiley Happy
